Updates and earnings
The host console reports machine state and rental earnings. The signed host bundle keeps the installed agent aligned with the service’s supported protocol. Review both as operational state, not as evidence that a new rental or payment has happened.
Signed updates
Section titled “Signed updates”The installer and updater verify the host-bundle manifest with the pinned publisher public key, then verify the listed file digests. A failed verification should stop that installation or update. Do not replace the verification key, edit signed files in place, or bypass the check to make an error disappear.
The native updater checks periodically and defers updates while a rental is active. A published bundle is not proof that every connected host has installed it. Confirm the installed version and machine health through the host console and local diagnostics.
Keep the agent’s enrollment identity and state directory intact across an update. Reinstalling as a different machine is not the first response to a temporary connection problem. If an update remains blocked, collect the error and current version for support without sharing credential files.
Plan downtime
Section titled “Plan downtime”Stop accepting new work before planned maintenance. Check for active work, preserve renter expectations, and confirm the final state before shutting down. Keep the machine clock and required runtimes working; a process running locally is not the same as a healthy, admitted, available listing.
Read earnings correctly
Section titled “Read earnings correctly”Open Host earnings. The rental charge, platform fee, host share, payable balance, and payout status answer different questions.
The current published platform fee is 10%, included in the listed price. The applicable quote and receipt record the actual fee for that rental. Gross offer price multiplied by an assumed full month of utilization is not a forecast of earned revenue.
A payout request uses its own checks and confirmed destination. A queued request or payable figure is not an on-chain receipt. Read the payout state and transaction evidence before reporting that funds arrived. No fixed payout-time or utilization claim is made here.
See withdrawals for destination-confirmation concepts, and retain receipts for your own accounting.
